The focus of HOW is to advocate and encourage children living in foster care while waiting to be adopted.  We foster a commitment to children without family that will promote a safe and encouraging environment, and assert a sense of hope in the future. It is our belief that by mentoring children in domestic care that are waiting we can aid in getting their personal needs met.  Then the children can begin to develop a strong sense of individual worth and positive identity. This builds a positive self image and will give the children the a chance at having a brighter future and sense of pride.​

Internationally HOW's focus is to partners with existing global organizations to meet the most basic of human needs of orphans in 3rd world and developing countries. Needs such as clean water, healthcare, shelter and education.
